Ian Koch

With a degree in Botany from Western Illinois University, Ian began his career with Bartlett Tree Experts in 2022. He has since gained valuable arboricultural skills and knowledge while advancing within the company. Ian held the position of Plant Healthcare Specialist before earning his Arborist Certification in September of 2024 and landing the position of Certified Arborist Representative.

Ian's degree in Botany provided him with a solid foundation in plant science, which he now applies to his passion for tree work and conservation. As a Certified Arborist, he is dedicated to promoting healthy ecosystems and enhancing urban landscapes through proper tree management and care.

Ian is also a former professional baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds, a Division I baseball player at Western Illinois, and a 2018 Cape Cod League All-Star. He loves the outdoors, connecting with nature, and educating others about the vital role trees play in our environment. He spends his free time gardening, cooking, and spending weekends on the lake.
