Jacob West has been involved in tree care since his senior year in high school. He began climbing and pruning trees in East Texas for a small tree care company which is how he worked his way through the Arthur Temple School of Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry with an Urban Forestry emphasis, then came to work with Bartlett in 2006. Bartlett’s scientific approach to tree care, and the ability to continue to learn the latest advances in arboriculture attracted him to our company where he soon became an Arborist Representative. Jacob is an active member of the San Antonio Arborist Association, and is a Board Certified Master Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture. Jacob teaches local certified arborists prep courses, contributes with San Antonio’s Arbor Day, and is involved with local arboricultural education workshops and training events.
