Jonathan Cowherd

Jonathan has been passionate about trees and the outdoors from a very young age. He was a Boy Scout, worked on projects with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and his father was a soil scientist and conservationist. Realizing his calling, Jonathan went to Virginia Tech and earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation, with minors in Forestry and Business. After graduating in 2010, he joined Bartlett Tree Experts. Jonathan held positions including Arborist Climber and Plant Health Care Specialist prior to Arborist Representative.

An ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Jonathan is also a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert. He enjoys using his knowledge and experience to help property owners make informed decisions to maintain the health and beauty of their trees and shrubs.

In his free time, Jonathan, his wife, Kristine, and two daughters, Caroline and Quinn, love to travel, hike, and go to Orioles games. He also enjoys taking ski trips, golf, and playing one of the six musical instruments he owns. When he was an Arborist Climber, Jonathan participated in competitive tree climbing and finished in the top 10 at the 2012 ITCC Mid-Atlantic tree climbing competition.
