Spencer Martin

After graduating from Ohio State, Spencer spent a year in the Great Smoky Mountains, helping protect the Eastern Hemlock from the invasive pest, woolly adelgid. This experience launched his professional career in arboriculture. He returned to Columbus to serve as a Parks Arborist for the country's first accredited municipal arboretum. Spencer joined Bartlett in 2026.

Spencer became an ISA-certified Arborist in 2022 and has a commercial pesticide applicator license in Ohio and Kentucky. Through his experience, he has developed a refined passion for young tree structural pruning and soil health, viewing them as critical factors in ensuring a tree's lifelong vigor.

In his personal time, Spencer enjoys riding his bike, exploring parks, and cultivating native ecosystems on his homestead.
