Steven Sypniewski

Growing up with a father who was a landscaper, Steve developed an appreciation for plants and the environment from an early age. That childhood experience led him to study Landscape Development at Alfred State College, leading to a lifelong career in horticulture and arboriculture. Steve spent 15 years as Arboretum Manager at Buffalo State before joining Bartlett as an Arborist Representative in 2026.

Steve is an ISA Certified Arborist and NYS Certified Pesticide Applicator. He has been actively involved in the Western New York horticultural community, serving as President of Plant WNY in 2023. His dedication to the profession has been recognized through the NYS Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional 2024 CNLP of the Year award and being named the 2025 Plant WNY Person of the Year.

Steve is an avid gardener who loves spending time outdoors, but his favorite time is spent with his wife, and their seven grandchildren. Steve's love of nature remains an important part of both his professional and personal life.
