William Smithmyer

Will grew up in Cecil County in North East Maryland, where he discovered his love for the outdoors. His interest in tree care started when he was a senior at The John Carroll School and created a tree inventory as his senior project. In 2018, he started his career with Bartlett Tree Experts as a summer intern. He then began improving his skills, becoming an Arborist Climber, Crew Leader, and Plant Health Care Specialist prior to becoming an Arborist Representative.

As an Arborist Representative, Will is backed by the resources of the Bartlett Research Laboratories. He is an ISA Certified Arborist and a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert. He enjoys helping people make informed decisions to maintain the health of trees and shrubs to achieve their goals for their properties.

Will is an outdoors enthusiast and a competition climbing arborist. In his free time, he enjoys spending his time hiking, hunting, and fishing.
